In Spain, a child died after being hit by a huge block of ice during a severe hailstorm.
A girl, aged 1 year and 8 months, was injured along with 30 other people by the ice blocks that fell on La Bisbal de l’Empord in Catalonia.
The child was taken to a hospital in Girona, 29 km from the scene, but died a few hours later, according to the Mirror. The child’s identity and nationality have not yet been released.
A woman who was also injured during the terrible hurricane remains in the same hospital, trying to regain consciousness.
Another 28 people suffered head injuries, broken bones, lacerations, and cuts after blocks of ice fell from the sky on Tuesday.

Local meteorologists said the chunks of ice were the biggest in 20 years. Many cars were also damaged.
