Russian opposition leader Leonig Gozman accused the Kremlin of destroying Russia. In his opinion, the Russians have irretrievably lost their country and their former life. The Mediazon website recalled that anti-Ukrainian and anti-Western propaganda is being carried out everywhere in Russia, and media alternative to the Kremlin are being blocked and liquidated.
Opposition politician and commentator Leonid Gozman previously apologized to Ukrainians for the Kremlin’s actions and publicly stated that he was entirely on the side of their country. This time, he published a short post in which he accused the Kremlin of destroying Russia.
“It’s very hard when you realize that this country, which – with a critical attitude to what happened in it – no longer exists – they destroyed it. They destroyed it forever!” – wrote Leonid Gozman in the social network.
Russians leave the country
Russian independent media remind that journalists, artists, intellectuals and civil activists are fleeing Russia in connection with the actions of the Russian army in Ukraine and internal repression. According to various estimates, about 300,000 Russians have recently decided to emigrate, mostly young and educated people.
In connection with the Russian attack, many countries and companies from around the world have imposed economic and political sanctions against the Kremlin. Many international concerns from various industries also stopped their activities in Russia – incl. appliances, cars and clothing brands. These sanctions are increasingly affecting ordinary people in Russia. The Russian invasion of Ukraine began on 24 February.
