The world’s first vaccine against COVID-19 for animals has been registered

According to Rosselkhoznadzor, Russia has registered the world’s first vaccine against Covid-19 for animals.

Reuters reported that the vaccine for animals, developed by the Rosselkhoznadzor, was named Carnivac-Cov. “Dogs, cats, foxes, minks, foxes and other animals took part in the Carnivac-Cov clinical trials, which began in October last year,” said Konstantin Savenkov, deputy head of the Rosselkhoznadzor.

“The test results allow us to conclude that the vaccine is harmless and highly immunogenic, because all vaccinated animals in 100% of cases produced antibodies to the coronavirus.”

Mass production of the vaccine may begin in April, added Rosselkhoznadzor.
