Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan called Russia’s recognition of the separatist regions of eastern Ukraine unacceptable and called on all countries to respect international law, Reuters reports citing Turkish NTV television.
“We consider this decision unacceptable for Russia. We reiterate our call for common sense and respect for international law on all sides,” Erdogan told reporters on the plane after returning from an African tour.
He added that Ankara, as a regional power, has prepared “preventive packages” of actions.
