Russia’s Federal Security Service has announced the prevention of a terrorist attack planned by an ISIS supporter in Crimea.
The FSB said it had detained a Russian citizen who planned to blow up railway tracks “on the instructions of the leaders of the Crimean Tatar Islamic Volunteer Battalion Crimea, which is conducting military operations against Russian forces in Ukraine.”
Earlier this week, Russia announced that it had thwarted an ISIS attack in the city of Cherkessk.
Last week, the official representative of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Kirill Budanov, in turn, warned that Russian special services are planning terrorist acts in Russia to turn public opinion against Ukraine.
