The Minister of Infrastructure Oleksandr Kubrakov noted that it takes about two weeks to launch the airport.
Ukrainian airports will be able to resume their work within two weeks. The main condition is safety.
This was stated by the Minister of Infrastructure Oleksandr Kubrakov during his speech at the 17th annual meeting of the Yalta European YES strategy.
According to him, Lviv airport may be the first to start operating. The minister noted that the main problem for resuming the flights of civil courts is security, not technical issues.
In addition, Kubrakov believes that, technically, the opening of the airport in Lviv can be implemented as part of the “grain initiative”, where Ukraine will receive security guarantees from international partners and the UN.
Later, the regional military administration explained that the Uzhhorod airport is not ready to resume operations in the near future. The airport, at least, cannot work due to the closed sky over Ukraine. At the same time, there are no signed documents with the European Union regarding the possibility of launching regular flights, and the airport itself does not meet the technical specifications.
