Advisor to the President of Ukraine David Arakhamia said that the date of the meetings between President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin has not yet been set, but it is highly likely to take place in Turkey.
Arakhamia issued a statement saying that representatives of the Russian delegation confirmed that the draft of the proposed peace treaty was at a sufficiently advanced stage to allow direct consultations between the leaders of the two countries.
In an interview with Ukrainian television, David Arakhamia said that Russia generally accepts the common position of Ukraine, with the exception of Kyiv’s position on Crimea.
“Mr. Erdogan called both us and Vladimir Putin yesterday. And he also confirmed for his part that they are ready to organize a meeting in the near future. Of course, neither the date nor the place is known. But, we believe that the place is highly likely to be in Istanbul or Ankara,” the adviser to the President of Ukraine stressed.
