Pfizer and Moderna have raised vaccine prices for the European Union

Pfizer and Moderna have raised vaccine prices for the European Union. The increase for Pfizer / BioNTech is about 25 percent. The cost of the Moderna vaccine has jumped by about 10 percent.

According to the Financial Times, there are two reasons for this. Demand is rising because many countries are planning to introduce a third dose for those already vaccinated, as well as compelling evidence that RNA-based vaccines are most effective.

Until now, Pfizer sold to the European Union for 15.50 euros per dose. The new price is 19.50 euros. The cost of Moderna vaccine increases from 19 to 21.50 euros.
