At least 9 people died in a cable car crash in northern Italy.
The incident occurred on Sunday on a cable car connecting the village of Stresa on the shores of Lake Lago Maggiore and Mount Mottarone, 300 meters from the destination, the search and rescue service said.
According to preliminary data, 9 out of 11 passengers who were in the cockpit were killed.
During the lockdown period, the funicular did not work and received the first passengers on April 24.
