Tourists in Turkey have a record increase in accommodation costs

Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy said that the daily cost of living for one tourist in Turkey this year could reach a record $84.

The official also noted that the goal is to bring this figure to $93. At the beginning of the tourist season, the goal was to receive 42 million tourists and bring the country’s income from the hospitality industry to $35 billion.

Mehmet Nuri Ersoy spoke about the statistics in Antalya:

“Last year, Antalya received nine million tourists. I think that by the end of this year this figure will vary from 12 to 13 million guests. We see that the season is getting longer. Most likely, now it will last not until October, but until the end of November “.
