A tourist who was on vacation in Turkey said that her friend’s refusal to get acquainted with a hotel employee turned into an SMS bomber connection for the girl. She learned about the method of revenge of the rejected Turk and wrote on her blog.
According to the traveler, “it all started very innocently”: an employee of a Turkish hotel first handed her friend a note with hearts drawn by a pen and his number, and then treated the girls to a watermelon. Then the young man asked the tourist if he liked to take a picture of him on her phone, and send the resulting photo to him on WhatsApp – the man explained that he had forgotten his gadget at home.
“And then the messages began:“ hello ”,“ how are you ”,“ let’s go for a walk to the beach in the evening, and then drink whiskey at my house ”,“ send your photo … ”, the author of the blog said.
After unsuccessful attempts to make acquaintances, the man “seemed to calm down”, but after some time, the traveler’s friend suddenly began to receive massive messages with confirmation codes from various stores that she had never been to. It turned out that someone connected an SMS bomber to the girl – SMS messages were automatically sent to a given number to piss the person off. As the tourist explained, this is often done out of revenge, since such mailing cannot be turned off.
“Then everything seemed to calm down, but the hot Turkish guy wrote to her when she was already at home, and again was refused a request to call via video call. After that, the flurry of SMS messages intensified. Of course, perhaps this is a coincidence, but something I strongly doubt is, ”the tourist shared her opinion.
