The PituRooms hotel recently opened in Indonesia, making it the narrowest hotel in the world. The width of the building is only 2.8 m.
The hotel is located in the small Indonesian town of Salatiga, with a population of 200,000 people. It was built by architect Sahabat Seloyene, who expects that the city will be able to attract more tourists thanks to this.
Salatiga is located on a hill 638 m high, and from the upper floors of the new hotel, there is an extensive panorama of the surrounding area. Nearby is the Merbabu volcano, popular with tourists.
The narrowest hotel in the world has only seven rooms. Each room (size 2.8×3×2.4 m) is decorated in a different color scheme and is equipped with a double bed, TV, and bathroom with shower, sink, and toilet. There is also a lounge, a vestibule, and a small outdoor roof terrace. The hotel has a small “tubular” elevator with a diameter of 75 cm for luggage and people with disabilities.
A night in this unusual hotel will cost guests 850,000 Indonesian rupiah (about 55 US dollars).
