The increase in hotel prices shocked representatives of the Turkish tourism industry

The increase in hotel prices has shocked representatives of the Turkish tourism industry: according to official statistics, restaurants and hotels “lead” the list of industries in Turkey with the highest inflation. Here, the price increase amounted to almost 71%. So the Turks “counted and cried.”

Overall, according to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), inflation in March in Turkey was 2.29% compared to the previous month, 12.52% compared to December of the previous year, and 50.51% to March of the previous year. On average for twelve months, it was 70.20%.

At the same time, the group with the largest price increase in March, compared to the same month of the previous year, was made up of restaurants and hotels with an indicator of 70.73%. Even food products and soft drinks with an increase of 67.89% and health with 64.68% lagged behind them.

At the same time, the prices of hotels and restaurants rose by 3.85% last month. By December of last year, the growth was almost 22%. And the average indicator for 12 months is kept at the level of 76%.
