DIP, citing a statement from representatives of the Turkish hotel business, writes that prices in hotels in Turkey will increase by 30-50% in the summer of 2023.
This may be due to high demand, food inflation and higher wages for employees.
Thus, according to representatives of the Seven Seas Gravel Select hotel, which is part of the OTI Hotels & Resorts chain, there is high inflation in Turkey, the cost of a number of products has increased fivefold. For example, a cup of coffee has risen in price from 15 to 55 lira. The government has also raised the minimum wage for hospitality workers, so hotels will have to increase prices to make up for the costs.
Thus, for the next summer season, the cost of holidays in euros will increase by 50%.
The fact that prices will increase by 30-50% was also announced in the large hotel chain Kilit Hospitality Global.
As noted by representatives of the Turkish tourism industry, at the moment, early booking promotions can book vacations with a discount of up to 30%. The promotions will last until May 2023, but the discount will gradually decrease.
