Listed are ways to check a hotel room for hidden cameras

Wirecutter privacy and security specialist Torin Klosovsky told The Sun how to check a hotel room for hidden cameras.

The expert explained that now on the market there are special applications for smartphones that can detect any camera. However, you should not rely on 100%.

“Apps check for all reflections, so they can erroneously inform the user about the presence of cameras that are not there – it’s just glass or another surface,” Torin said.

Therefore, it is best to check the room manually, the expert believes. For example, arm yourself with a flashlight and inspect all secluded and suspicious places.

Another easy way is to turn off the lights in the rented room. If you see a glowing red dot anywhere, it’s an IR signal. That is, most likely, you are being watched.

Thorin Klosowski also recommended turning off all dubious gadgets. In particular, a Wi-Fi adapter or an alarm clock: can also be associated with surveillance.
