In hotels in Greece, which are direct competitors of Turkey in tourism, only 6% implement the All inclusive service system, which was liked by tourists. These data were published by the Greek Institute for Tourism Research and Forecasting for 2022, conducting a new study. The number of hotels surprised both tourists and experts in the tourism sector.
According to the study, the most common system in hotels – is breakfast (BB – Bed & breakfast). They account for a record 64% of Greek hotels. As for half board – usually, breakfast and dinner (HB – half board) and full board – three meals a day (FB – Full Board), their share in Greek hotels is about 17%, where 21% of hotels have more than 50 rooms, and 79% – up to 50 rooms. On the other hand, the share of the à la carte restaurant is about 12%.
The experts analyzed the data on the “all-inclusive” (AI) service system and were surprised because there were very few such hotels in Greece. By object classes, 5-star hotels took first place – 29%. It was followed by 4-star hotels – 17% and 3-star hotels – 4%.
