In Turkey, gas prices for hotels are about a quarter higher. Moreover, this price increase will not be the first in recent times. This happened due to changes in the sectoral tariff in the field of the local tariff grid for the sale of natural gas.
As a result, such high gas prices risk becoming simply unaffordable for hotels. And for tourists, this unpleasant surprise can lead to an increase in the price of recreation, and right now.
The gas tariff, which will be applied to hotels, has been increased to 8.9 Turkish lira per cubic meter (about 18 hryvnias). This is an increase of about 25% from the previous price.
As a result, starting in October, hotels, as well as boutique hotels, private accommodation facilities, motels, hostels and aparthotels, which consume natural gas, will pay 25 percent more than in September. They will have to face price increases even if their consumption remains unchanged despite the winter. And this is an extremely unpleasant surprise for tourism.
