The rescue operation continues, which specialists from other countries who flew to help joined. The situation is complicated by bad weather – snow and sub-zero temperatures, which leave less and less chance of finding survivors under the rubble every hour.
Those left homeless are often forced to spend the night outdoors in the cold – warm blankets, tents, food, and drink are brought for them. Across the country, people are donating blood for survivors and sending humanitarian aid.
The authorities decided to temporarily transport the victims to hotels in safe regions of the country, including the resort of Antalya. Many hotels are specially opened to receive people from those regions where it shakes.
As hoteliers told reporters, it is not known how long people will stay in hotels, but while they are there, most of them will not accommodate vacationers.
