A tourist secretly installed a camera in his hotel room and was stunned by the actions of the maids

A surveillance camera secretly installed by a tourist in a hotel room in Mexico captured the shocking actions of maids. In the guest’s absence, they rummaged through his bags, opened the safe, and drank beer from the minibar.

Arturo Brunello went on vacation to a Mexican resort and for the first time decided to install the iSentry program, which turns a computer/laptop webcam into a motion sensor security system, the Mirror newspaper reported. When the man received a message from the program, he was horrified to discover what the hotel staff was doing in his absence.

The tourist watched with his own eyes how the maids shamelessly opened the bags and rummaged through his things and tried on some of them. In the meantime, they even decided to drink the beer that was in the refrigerator, and then they got the safe. The outraged traveler posted the footage on his TikTok account, and in no time the video went viral, gaining more than 3.2. million views. “Here you can see how the service staff pours beer from our fridge,” the tourist commented on the footage.

The hotel video became incredibly popular on the Internet, as many tourists shared the traveler’s anxiety about the level of security in hotels. Yes, one user stated the following: “This is why I hardly take anything out of my suitcase, always keep my lock on it and always travel with a key.” Another chimed in: “I’m surprised he didn’t just steal the computer.” “I always take the bare minimum, no jewelry and anything expensive in my purse, but the camera is brilliant,” added another traveler.

“It was the first time I installed a camera and it worries me. Be careful when you travel,” urged the author of the video.

The administration of the Mexican hotel also watched the video. As a result of the incident, female employees caught at the scene of the crime were released in disgrace.
