Japan surprises European tourists at every turn. In particular, travelers are struck by the nuances one has to deal with in Japanese hotels. Read more about them in the material “DIP”.
Toilet bowls
All hotel restrooms (both dorms and rooms) have high-tech toilets. Their seats are certainly heated, in addition, they are equipped with buttons to wash, raise or lower the center. Some models even come with music if you don’t want to be disturbed by sounds from your fellow traveler’s restroom.
Phones
Smartphones are often found in Japanese hotel rooms. With their help, customers can call not only reception but also other local numbers. Moreover, the guest can take the smartphone with him to the street throughout the rest.
Yukata
Instead of bathrobes, even in the most ordinary hotels, visitors are often offered yukata – a light Japanese kimono. However, the Japanese themselves wear yukatas not only after a shower but also in hot summer weather.
Ryokans
Ryokans are traditional guest houses where you can truly experience the spirit of Japan. The rooms of such houses are covered with tatami mats, special futon mattresses are hidden in the built-in wardrobes, and the rooms have chairs without legs and a small table for eating.
