In Greece, tourists were evacuated due to a fire on the island of Samos. According to the Civil Protection Service, there is no danger to people, and the authorities are working on a version of arson.
A new fire brigade was sent from Athens to the island of Samos today. 120 firefighters and 40 fire engines are battling the blaze in the eastern part of the island. There are five helicopters in the air.

The guests of the two hotels, mostly foreigners, were evacuated. Authorities also evacuated several villages.
The Civil Protection Service sends telephone messages to people in areas close to the fire to be extremely careful.
Army units and volunteers joined the firefighters.
A special police team arrived on the island of Samos to investigate the arson, which suspected the authorities of deliberately interfering in the fire.
According to firefighters, by the end of the day it is planned to eliminate the main sources of ignition.
