Citizens of Ukraine may enter Georgia with valid passports of Ukrainian citizens for travel abroad, diplomatic and service passports, identity cards of a seafarer and a member of the aircraft crew.
Minor children under the age of 18 must have a child’s travel document or a passport of a citizen of Ukraine to travel abroad. If the child does not have a separate travel document, information about him must be included in the passport documents for travel abroad of his parents (one of the parents) – citizens of Ukraine, who accompany the child while traveling abroad. According to Georgia’s requirements, the passport must contain a photograph of the child, regardless of age (from birth).
If a minor under the age of 16 travels to Georgia, one of the parents or the other person must have a notarized consent of the other parent (both parents), as well as a child’s birth certificate.
Citizens of Ukraine who entered Georgia after June 8, 2015, have the right to stay in Georgia without a visa and residence permit for one year from the date of the last entry into the country (the period of stay is “reset” for each subsequent to Georgia).
Exceeding the term of legal stay of a foreigner in Georgia for a period of 10 days to 3 months is punishable by a fine of 180 GEL, more than 3 months – 360 GEL. Foreigners who do not pay the fine will be barred from entering the country until it is paid.
In case of forced expulsion of a foreigner from the territory of Georgia, he may be banned from entering the country for 2-5 years.
