The European Parliament today, November 10, voted for Croatia’s accession to the Schengen area.
According to the message of the EP, “deputies approved the termination of internal border controls between the Schengen free movement area and Croatia.” 534 deputies supported the decision, 53 were against it, and 25 abstained.
It was reported that Croatia had fulfilled all the requirements for joining Schengen. Now the final decision on this issue must be taken unanimously by the Council of the EU.
