The Agence France-Presse (AFP) news agency writes that the EU member states have agreed to grant Bosnia and Herzegovina the status of a candidate country for joining the community.
This publication was informed by an informed diplomatic source. It is specified that the corresponding decision was made by the ministers of the EU countries for European affairs.
Earlier it was reported that Croatia became the 27th member of the Schengen area. This decision was taken by the EU Council for Justice and Home Affairs. It will enter into force on January 1, 2023. At the same time, applications from Bulgaria and Romania to join the Schengen were rejected.
