German airline Lufthansa will cut flights to Israel after Hamas militants attacked the country, Meduza writes, citing AFP and a company representative.
According to him, “given the current security situation in Tel Aviv,” Lufthansa will maintain one flight to Frankfurt. Still, all other flights to and from Tel Aviv have been canceled for October 7.
The Israeli publication Walla reports that the companies that have canceled flights to Israel are Swiss Air, Austrian Airlines, Turkish Airlines, LOT, Wizz Air, and Air Baltic.
In addition, a United Airlines flight from San Francisco turned around mid-flight and headed back to the United States. A Wizz Air flight from Debrecen to Israel landed in Cyprus due to the situation in the country.
