Europe and the United States struck 2 more strikes on Russian airlines

Europe has expanded “air sanctions” for Russian aircraft. The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has suspended licenses for Russian-made passenger aircraft. That is, in fact, Europe does not allow Russian planes into its space now. Thus, the Irkut MS-21, turboprop IL-114-300 and Sino-Russian CR929 jet, Sukhoi Superjet 100 and only 6 types of aircraft came under sanctions. Airworthiness certificates and all international licenses have been revoked.

In general, the EASA statement said the suspension of Russian-type certificates. Part-145 permits from Russian maintenance organizations have also been revoked, as have third-country operator (TCO) certificates from all Russian airlines. The regulator will no longer allow the following types of aircraft in its controlled airspace:

  • Irkutsk SSJ 100/95,
  • Berieva BE-103 and BE-200ChS-E,
  • Tupolev Tu-204-100 Design Bureau,
  • Augur AL30 Aviation Center and
  • Helicopters of Russia Ka – 32.

It should be noted that in light of previous air sanctions that hinder the flights of Russian airlines to the European Union, SSJ100 / 95 or Tu-204, and so no longer fly over the block. Earlier, the aviation authorities of Bermuda and Ireland, where most of the aircraft leased by Russian companies from foreign companies are registered, suspended the validity of airworthiness certificates from Russian carriers. Thus, the vast majority of aircraft operated by Russian airlines, regardless of type, are currently considered unfit for flight in the European Union.

EASA has also suspended maintenance permits under Part-145 of 39 Russian organizations, including its own maintenance facilities for some of the country’s largest air holdings, such as Aeroflot Group, S7 Group, Volga-Dnipro Group and Ural Airlines. ». The recall affects not only Russian airlines, but also any third-party operators that may involve these service providers in their fleet. Such services will no longer be recognized by EASA. Holders of EASA-type certificates and other holders of design permits are also prohibited from providing airworthiness support or any other form of technical support for aircraft registered or designed in Russia or operated by a Russian operator. The regulator said it would not currently consider any new applications for certificates or permits from Russian organizations.

At the same time, the lack of TCO does not affect the reality of the certificates of the Russian air operator (AOC) of violated carriers. However, aircraft will not be able to cross EASA-controlled airspace.

And on Friday, the US Department of Commerce issued a ban on the airline around the world of any interaction with the aircraft of Russian airlines, which have at least a quarter of American components. It is believed that because of this ban, all foreign flights of AZUR air on the export of Russian tourists who were stuck abroad were stopped on Saturday.

The new list of sanctions includes 99 Boeing aircraft. In general, the list of these sanctions, as calculated in the ATOR, included:

  • 33 Aeroflot aircraft;
  • 23 AZUR air liners used to remove stuck;
  • 14 Nordwind aircraft
  • 12 Utair aircraft;
  • plus a number of cargo carriers and private business jets.
