European low-cost airline easyJet offers passengers a new service that will save them from problems with luggage.
Now a traveler can check in his luggage directly at home and receive it upon arrival at his hotel room or any other specified address.
It is reported that the passenger will not need to check in luggage upon departure or wait for it in the arrivals area: this will be done for him by employees of the Airportr company, which has begun collaborating with easyJet.
At the moment, the service is only available to passengers traveling on the London (Gatwick) – Geneva flight. Luggage shipping costs from £38 and delivery from £40.
If the experiment turns out to be successful, then, perhaps, very soon such services may appear all over the world.
