US President Joe Biden has officially approved the deployment of additional troops in Eastern Europe, CNN reports.
The information is expected to be released by the Pentagon later that day. The deployment is a demonstration in support of NATO allies who feel threatened by Russia’s military action against Ukraine, media officials said.
According to them, about 2,000 US troops will be sent to Poland and several thousand more to the south-eastern NATO countries. A few days ago, it was reported that the United States had put 8,500 troops on high alert in case NATO’s Rapid Reaction Force needed urgent assistance.
Wait for the details.
