The container ship Ever Given, which caused the blockage of navigation on the Suez Canal, left the territorial waters of Egypt and headed for Rotterdam.
According to the Egyptian media, the vessel passed the necessary technical inspection in the Egyptian port of Ismailia, after which it sailed into the Mediterranean Sea.
Earlier, the Ismailia City Court for Economic and Economic Affairs removed the arrest from the container ship.
The Suez Canal Administration and the company that owns the container ship have agreed to pay compensation in the amount of $ 540 million. The interests of the ship owner were represented by the London law firm Stan Marine.
Ever Given ran aground in the Suez Canal, one of the world’s most important trade arteries, in poor visibility on March 24 amid a sandstorm and inclement weather. Hundreds of ships were trapped in the jam, including oil and LNG tankers.
The damage caused by the Suez Canal incident to the global economy is estimated at billions of dollars.
The container ship was refloated on March 29, and the Suez Canal was again operational for ship traffic.
