At least ten people have been killed and 30 injured in a serious bus crash this morning in Croatia.
The incident occurred on the A3 highway near the border with Serbia in the direction of the capital Zagreb, near the city of Slavonski Brod.
At about 6:20 a.m., a bus with Kosovo license plates left the road and overturned in a ditch, Slavonski Brod police said.
“The situation is very serious. At least ten people were killed and 30 were injured, “said Damir Brezic, a city police official.
He denied initial reports that it was a Macedonian bus.
The bus was traveling on the route Frankfurt-Pristina, it was about 60 people.
“Dozens of victims were taken to a hospital in Slavonski Brod,” police said.
“Police are investigating the circumstances and facts of the accident,” police said this morning.
Traffic on the highway is interrupted.
“Due to a traffic accident, traffic on the A3 Bregana-Lipovac highway between Slavonski Brod-Zapad and Slavonski Brod-Vostok in the direction of Lipovac was interrupted. Cars move by detours, “the official statement said.
