The Department of Health in the Canadian province of Quebec has issued an apology after posting a tweet about current cases of Covid, along with a link that mistakenly leads to pornography site Pornhub.
Due to a situation beyond our control, a link with inappropriate content has been posted on our Twitter account. We are investigating the cause. We apologize for the inconvenience,” the ministry wrote after the post was removed.
The link was supposed to contain the latest data on the pandemic in the French-speaking province of Canada, where more than 3,100 new cases and 26 deaths from Covid were registered yesterday.
Pornhub is one of the most popular sites on the planet, a subsidiary of the Montreal company MindGeek, headquartered in Luxembourg.
The SanteKebek profile has over 100,000 social media followers and is managed by the communications department. The incident did not escape the attention of consumers, and numerous reactions ranged from amusement to ridicule and annoyance.
