From July 1, the Ministry of Health of Bulgaria will introduce new rules of entry into the country in accordance with the colored areas of active spread of coronavirus. This is stated in the order of the Minister of Health of Bulgaria stronger than Stoicho Katsarova.
The changes were introduced through a joint European vaccination certificate, which takes effect on July 1.
The minister’s order increases the age of children to 12 years, who will be allowed to enter the country without any tests and certificates.
According to the document, only citizens from the green and orange zones, who are determined on the basis of information provided by the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control, the World Health Organization and the US Centers for Disease Control, will be admitted to Bulgaria. The main criteria for determining the country’s area are the incidence of COVID-19 in the last 14 days and the percentage of positive coronavirus test results in the last seven days.
Citizens from the green and orange zones are admitted to Bulgaria on the basis of a vaccination certificate, a certificate of disease or a test for coronavirus. In addition, additional testing for COVID-19 may be performed for people arriving from the orange zone. Access of citizens from the red zone is closed, except for certain categories of persons.
In the green zone today are: Austria, Germany, Estonia, Iceland, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Finland, Croatia, Greece, Denmark, Italy, Slovenia, France, Norway, Republic of San Marino, Principality of Andorra , Principality of Monaco, Vatican.
Ukraine is in the orange zone, and, accordingly, its citizens may be subjected to random testing upon arrival in Bulgaria.
