An Austrian woman returning home from Croatia found scorpions in her luggage. The incident, which took place at the end of July, is reported by The Mirror.
Having returned to her native Natternbach, the tourist began to unpack her suitcase and was horrified to find in it a family of 18 scorpions: a female and 17 cubs. She immediately contacted the animal rescue service, whose specialists made sure to send the arthropods back.
This is the third episode in the last year when the Austrians bring home such a “souvenir” from Croatia. In June, a resident of Linz found a scorpion in her apartment. She returned from the trip three weeks earlier but did not immediately notice the “guest”. In September last year, a similar story happened to another resident of Upper Austria.
