Australia is providing additional military assistance to Ukraine in the form of howitzers and ammunition, said Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison and Australian Defense Minister Peter Dutton, according to DPA.
Military assistance amounted to 26.7 million Australian dollars (19.1 million US dollars). Ukraine will receive six M777 howitzers with ammunition for them.
Taking into account this additional assistance, Australian military assistance to Ukraine amounts to $ 225 million. The country also provided $ 65 million in humanitarian aid to Ukraine, as well as 70,000 tons of coal to generate electricity.
