The government of the United Arab Emirates has made significant changes to the visa policy – now most vacationers will be able to stay in the country for 60 days, not 30, as was the case before.
Thanks to this decision, foreigners will be able to stay longer in the UAE on vacation, as well as use an additional month to look for work, followed by moving to a permanent place of residence.
The government noted that the new solutions include simplification of entry requirements for holders of all types of visas, the introduction of more flexible visa periods that meet the needs of foreigners.
It is clarified that all single and multiple entry visas will be valid for 60 days from the date of issue, in addition, they can be extended for the same period.
Until now, travelers of many nationalities, including British, Americans and Australians, have used 30-day tourist visas, which are issued upon arrival in the UAE. After these visas expired, they were given a 9-day grace period during which they could leave the country without penalty.
Since the lifting of restrictions related to the coronavirus pandemic, the tourist flow to Dubai has been steadily growing. Dubai International Airport, the busiest in the world, served 29.1 million passengers in 2021.
Dubai airport officials predict that around 60 million people will use the airport this year as the international tourism industry continues to recover.
