Airplane passenger fined $ 10,000 for refusing to wear a mask

The passenger was fined $ 10,000 for not wearing a mask on a flight from Utah to Arizona to the United States. This was reported by the Federal Civil Aviation Administration.

The flight was in February, and the flight attendant repeatedly asked the man to put a protective mask on his face so that it covered his nose and mouth, according to Monitor. He did so, but as soon as the woman left, he removed the mask from his nose. The flight attendant reprimanded him seven times.

As a result, the passenger quarreled with her and refused to fill in the report on the violation, as well as to present an identity document. He also touched the flight attendant and accused her of aggression. Then the woman was frightened and cried.

By June, federal authorities had reported at least 3,000 cases of passenger misconduct, many times more than usual, largely due to passengers refusing to wear a protective mask. These passengers then complain that they have been discriminated against by the airline, even if they are wrong, and this trend should be closely monitored by insurers, warns Europe’s largest insurer Allianz (Allianz), quoted by AFP.
