On Friday, British Ambassador Melinda Simmons met with Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.
They discussed:
- the situation with COVID-19 in Kyiv and the course of the vaccination campaign
- ongoing decentralization reform in Ukraine
- new prospects for bilateral cooperation between the United Kingdom and Kyiv, including in the field of urban infrastructure development, opened by the Strategic Partnership Agreement
Ambassador Simmons noted that the world’s oldest UK Export Credit Agency (UKEF) is returning to the Ukrainian market and is ready to financially support projects involving the use of advanced British technologies, including urban infrastructure, transport, environmental and architectural design.
