The Duke of Sussex, Prince, returned to England five days before the unveiling of a statue of Princess Diana at Kensington Palace.
Harry will be present at the unveiling of a statue in honor of his late mother, Princess Diana, at Kensington Palace on July 1, the day of her 60th birthday.
According to People magazine, his wife Megan Markle stayed in California with the couple’s two children: their 2-year-old son Archie Harrison and newborn daughter Lillibet Diana.
This is Harry’s second visit to the UK after he moved to the US with his family due to tensions in the royal family. He last returned home in April to pay tribute to the last rights of his grandfather, Prince Philip.
Plans to honor the memory of Princess Diana by the statue were first announced in February 2017, when it was 20 years since her death in a car accident in Paris at the age of 36.
According to People magazine, the statue was “commissioned to commemorate the twentieth anniversary of her death and to acknowledge her positive impact on Britain and the world,” the palace said in a statement last year.
“The statue will be installed in the Sunken Garden of Kensington Palace on July 1, 2021 to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the princess. The princes hope that the statue will help everyone who visits Kensington Palace to think about their mother’s life and her legacy.
By the way, Prince Harry and Megan, who lived in Kensington Palace before moving to Frogmore Cottage and then to the United States, held a photo shoot in 2017 from the Sunken Garden, according to People magazine.
