Britain is deeply concerned about the build-up of Russian forces on the border with Ukraine and wants the situation to de-escalate, Foreign Minister Dominique Raab said on Tuesday.
More than 100,000 Russian troops have gathered at Ukraine’s border and in annexed Crimea, the office of the EU’s top diplomat said.
“We have serious concerns about the recent accumulation of Russian military forces on Ukraine’s border,” Raab told lawmakers.
“We are working with allies … and our goal is to contain Russia, calm Ukraine and de-escalate the situation.”
