The International Geodetic and Geophysical Union of the United Nations conducted a study and named the most important geological locations in the world.
The study was conducted by a scientific committee consisting of 24 scientists from different countries. 600 applications participated in the competition. As a result, three natural attractions in Turkey have been included in the list of the most important geolocations in the world.
Thus, Cappadocia, Pamukkale, and Mount Nemrut were included in the ranking of the “200 best geological heritage sites in the world.”
