The municipal department of Ras Al Khaimah has taken the decision to ban camping on the emirate’s public beaches after receiving numerous complaints about wild tourists from holidaymakers and local residents.
As specified in the municipality, tourists began to put up tents on the seashore without the permission of local authorities and outside specially designated areas for camping.
These actions have led to a deterioration in the aesthetic appearance of the emirate, and local residents have lost the opportunity to relax on the beach. In addition, public property was damaged.
Officials noted that camping on public beaches would be prohibited, and permits to set up tents would not be obtained. The municipality urged the public to report violations by calling 800661.
