Dubai is 100% ready to host EXPO 2020, said His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
“In preparation for EXPO 2020 in Dubai, 72 working groups from federal and local governments have completed a joint strategic exercise to simulate an exhibition in October. I can say that we are fully prepared for the largest cultural event in the world, ”Sheikh Mohammed said.
Earlier this year, more than 100,000 people visited the first pavilion of Terra, or the Sustainable Development Pavilion, where they learned about the possibility of positive change through the use of unique technologies and tools.
It is noted that all officials of the participating countries will be vaccinated against COVID-19, which will guarantee the safety of all guests and visitors.
The World Expo will take place in the year of the 50th anniversary of the UAE in 2021, an important milestone in the history of the United Arab Emirates. The exhibition will be an important step towards the implementation of the UAE Development Plan until 2071. It will stimulate the growth of tourism, the development of innovative companies in the country and strengthen the UAE’s reputation as a business center.
The goal of EXPO 2020 in Dubai is to build a sustainable long-term legacy and become the benchmark for the future of World Expos. The exhibition will open on October 1, 2021 and run until March 31, 2022.
