The Turkish defense company ROKETSAN is preparing to replenish the arsenal of the Turkish Armed Forces with the Çakır cruise missile with a range of more than 150 km.
The presentation of the new ammunition, which can be launched both from land and sea platforms, and from aircraft, took place at one of the ROKETSAN facilities with the participation of the head of the Defense Industry Department under the Turkish Presidential Administration, Ismail Demir, the chairman of the board of ROKETSAN, Faruk Yigit, and others.
The ammunition is capable of hitting a variety of targets, including surface and coastal targets.
Çakır is powered by a domestically produced KTJ-1750 turbojet engine developed by Kale Arge.
A unique warhead and a modern guidance system make it possible to hit targets in all weather conditions.
