Turkey has localized 98 out of 107 forest fires

Over the past 3-4 days, 107 forest fires have broken out in Turkey, 98 of them have been brought under control, 9 are continuing. Turkish Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Bekir Pakdemirli stated this.

The minister noted that starting from August 1 in the afternoon, air humidity in the country will drop to 10 percent. In this regard, it is necessary to be even more careful, he said.

“Not everyone is capable of localizing 98 of the 107 forest fires that broke out within 3-4 days. We have all witnessed the fact that in such developed countries as the United States, for several days or even months, sometimes for six months, they could not extinguish forest fires. I also want to address detractors in social networks and politics. Turkey is truly one of the most successful countries in the world in the field of forest fire fighting. Whatever you say, you cannot hinder our struggle,” Pakdemirli said.
