The renowned Michelin restaurant guide will award stars to restaurants in Istanbul for the first time this year.
Istanbul will become the 38th city in the world in which restaurants will be awarded with prestigious Michelin stars. At the moment, the company’s experts are conducting secret checks of local restaurants and cafes.
Michelin Istanbul Guide will present on October 11, 2022.
Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy noted that the interest of Michelin guide experts in Istanbul’s catering points shows that “Turkey is at the forefront of gastronomic tourism.” Positioning Istanbul as a “gastro city” will appeal to travelers looking for unique tastes.
