Turkey has started vaccinating tourism workers with Covid-19 in agreement with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Ministry of Health and the Turkish Promotion and Development Agency (TGA).
Vaccination of all tourist staff will be completed by the beginning of the summer season.
This includes employees of airlines, airports, accommodation and travel agencies, as well as professional guides.
The vaccination program aims to congratulate international travelers on the upcoming summer season and ensure the health and safety of tourism workers and residents.
Since launching the Safe Tourism Certification Program in June, Turkey has followed strict labor protection guidelines.
As part of ongoing efforts to combat Covid-19, certification is mandatory for establishments with 30 or more rooms.
More than 8000 objects are certified.
