Why you can’t swim in Egypt after sunset

Holidays in Egypt have long been no surprise, it is one of the most popular resorts among tourists. However, many forget about the peculiarities of the country. To avoid unpleasant consequences, you must follow simple rules. For example, do not swim at night. DIP will tell you why.

The authorities advise not to go into the water after sunset because a huge number of predatory fish live in the sea. During the day, most often they sleep at a depth and are at a safe distance from tourists.

We are sure you have heard about sharks that periodically attack tourists in Egypt. In the daytime, to warn tourists, lifeguards work on the shore, and in the evening it is difficult to notice a fish or a person in the water. And that means there is practically no chance of salvation.

Marine predators are very dangerous, even the smallest wound should not be ignored, because it can cause allergies or fester. At night, you may step on sharp coral or stumble upon a sea urchin or starfish. Contact with them causes sharp pain, which can lead to drowning.

By the way, it is better not to go to the pool at night. Firstly, it is very dangerous to swim while intoxicated, which is quite common among vacationers. Secondly, jumping into the pool at night, you run the risk of getting a chemical burn or an allergic one, since the water is constantly cleaned with chlorine. By morning, the substance evaporates, but at night water can be a threat.
