Civil aviation experts predict that between June and August a total of 47 million seats will be occupied on 280,000 flights arriving in Spain from all over the world. At the same time, Ryanair will become the largest carrier, followed by another low-cost carrier Vueling and the Spanish national carrier Iberia.
Lanzarote will be the largest among Spain’s 15 busiest airports, up 13 percent from 2019, followed by Menorca with a “plus 12%” figure. There is also an increase in Tenerife by 7% and in Valencia by 4%.
But this summer, “monsters” will be in a clear minus: Madrid will receive less than 18 percent of tourists from its “norm”, and Barcelona – almost 15 percent.
