Weather forecasters have clarified when it is warmer in Egypt

A strong wave of cold in Egypt, which brings such surprises as the New Year’s flood in Hurghada and morning frosts in Luxor, will leave the country only in February. This forecast was voiced to local media by the representative of the media center of the Egyptian Meteorological Administration (EMA) Manar Ghanem. He warned that for now, a wave of cold still prevails over Egypt and brings strong winds and night cold – in Cairo, for example, morning temperatures are again not higher than 6 degrees – which can be faced by tourists on excursions or through Cairo.

“It is expected that in early February the atmosphere will stabilize and the temperature will return to normal,” Ghanem added. He also reminded that January was usually the coldest month of the year.

However, so far the weather in the resorts of Egypt is quite tolerable – especially when compared to extreme indicators. Thus, clear weather is expected in Hurghada this week, with temperatures ranging from +17 to +20 degrees during the day and no higher than + 11-12 at night. Water in the sea +23 degrees.

In Sharm el-Sheikh it is a little warmer + 18-21, also clear weather, night temperatures – up to +14. Tourists who have gathered for an excursion to the Monastery of St. Catherine and Mount Sinai – there are average night temperatures – about 6 degrees, but there is a risk of frost to zero.
