However, the complete abolition of PCR test requirements in Turkey, which was planned in recent days, will not happen. A circular sent by the Ministry of the Interior to the provinces of 81 provinces returned the requirement to perform a PCR test during air travel.

According to the order, the PCR test will continue to be requested “from people who have not been vaccinated, have not completed the vaccination process and have not contracted the coronavirus in the last 180 days on international air travel.”

Earlier, Turkey abolished mandatory coronavirus testing for domestic flights and planned to reduce other restrictions. In particular, Turkish Airlines has announced the abolition of PCR requirements for domestic flights.
